 GYPSY HORSE REGISTRIES, CLUBS AND ASSOCIATIONS. Although quite similar, you will notice that each Registry has their own "Standard" for the breed. Please know, that Gypsy Horses, Gypsy Vanners, Gypsy Cobs etc., are indeed, all the same breed. No horse registered within one registry or another, is necessarily better quality, than a horse registered within another registry. It is purely up to the individual, as to their registry of choice. Some register their horses in more than one registry. AND DRUM HORSE ASSOCIATION This registry was formed to record the parentage, preserve the history, and promote the Gypsy Cob and Drum Horse as a breed in North America.
Approved by the Department of Agriculture for the purpose of maintaining The Irish Cob Stud Book Official registry of the Gypsy Vanner Horse. Only Gypsy Horses registered within this registry, may be called "Vanners".
